WATCH: AT&T’s “Love is Changing History” Video Will Make You Cry

In recognition of LGBTQ History Month, our friends at AT&T have launched the “Love is Changing History” project to demonstrate how our love is making history in everyday life.

The project encourages people to share their stories — stories of love, coming out, family, future — on its webpage. Each story can be viewed in an online gallery. And at the end of the campaign, each story will be included in a permanent collection at the U.S. Library of Congress.

But it doesn’t stop there.

For every person who shares a story, the website, or one the promotional films, AT&T will donate $1, up to $100,000, to The Trevor Project, the nation’s leading non-profit charity providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth.

To promote the project, AT&T has created two films with longtime LGBTQ supporters and activists Lance Bass and Pauley Perrette.

See the first film below. It was co-directed by Pauley Perrette and is about a high school girl named Jenny. Prom is coming up and she must make a decision that will change her life forever.

Have the tissues ready. It’s a tear-jerker.
