Unfiltered: 10 Instagram Accounts To Follow This New York Fashion Week

instagram-nyfw

Another September, another week of fashionistas teetering around Manhattan in impossibly high heels — yes, kids, it’s New York Fashion Week. If you listen closely, you just might hear the sound of Anna Wintour rolling her eyes in the front row of some designer she’s decided to ruin. To keep you in touch and up-to-date on the who, what, where, why and Wang of NYFW, we invited social media maven Gregory Littley to highlight the people, artists, content creators, models, and stylists that you must follow. And Nick Jonas.

Check out 10 Instagrammers keeping the Fashion in New York Fashion Week.

Nicola Formichetti

The former stylist to Lady Gaga and current creative director of Diesel Black Gold, has one of the most engaged Instagram audiences. With just a few swipes down his timeline, it’s clear why his filtered pics garner thousands of “likes”, and his love of his own branded illustrations  (look up #NicoPanda!) have lead to international fans obsessed with his every move (and post).

Fiona Byrne

Fiona, a pixie-esqe Ireland born beauty, already has #NYFW’s hipster set obsessed with her ByrneNotice.com —but the real action is happening on her ‘Grams. Known for her signature platinum blond locks and cute as a button red lips, Fiona showcases the trends on her posts BEFORE you know they’re trends — whether its her junk food inspired manicures, hobnobbing with the current IT model of the moment, or high-fiving her buddy Spock (She’s CLOSE friends with Star Trek hottie Zachary Quinto).

Nick Wooster

Ah…The DADDY of all #Menswear never disappoints with his array of Thom Browne-suited #Selfies, leg tattoos, and perfectly classic (while still “on-trend”) facial hair. This former GQ titan shows us that style, much like a fine wine, gets better with age. His vocal and strong fan base is alive and well on Tumblr, as seen on https://fuckyeahnickwooster.tumblr.com.

Justin Livingston

Justin is the quintessential “boy next door,” but with a ridiculously amazing wardrobe. Adorable, shy, and smart — Justin posts a daily stream of “preppy but cool” relatable #OOTD’s (Outfit Of TheDays) & #WIWT’s (What I Wore Today) with a stellar confidence that comes off authentic and never cheesy. It’s a difficult line to toe on Instagram, but he kills it.

Nicolette Mason

Recently named one of StyleCaster’s 50 most stylish New Yorkers, it’s easy to see why fashion’s most impassioned kids are double-tapping all of Mason’s pix. Nicolette’s style is rooted strongly in versatile and glamorous style (I mean she rocks HALSTON)  with a plus. Already recognized by Marie Claire, where she serves as a contributing editor, Nicolette shares classic trends focused on life moments with her fans, including sweet shots of her and girlfriend Ali.

Nick Jonas

I get it. I can hear you all asking “What does Nick Jonas have to do with Fashion Week?” Answer? Nick and his two JoBros are practically front row for all major Lincoln Center shows, that’s why he made our list. In between posting real time Instagrams of Richard Chai’s latest Spring 2014 collection, he shares a shirtless, ridiculously buff pic with his 836,000 followers.

Christina Caradona

She’s that girl. The one that always looks effortless and make up free. Sometime we hate her, but mostly we’re obsessed. Christina Caradona (creator of the french inspired Trop Rouge blog) plays with the stereotypical street-style format that results in remixed moments on her Instgram. And her hair. Her hair is worthy of its OWN account. Always perfectly highlighted and bed head tousled, Christina’s loose curls look sick in EarlyBird, but streamlined profesh in Nashville. You can expect a steady upload schedule of her live experience directly from #NYFW’s front row.

Anthony Urbano

Anthony takes a “bro” approach to his #NYFW game. He shares his routine: he hits the gym, gets dressed, slaps on a few bracelets, a backpack and hits the Tents! Anthony also takes advantage of Instagram’s newest feature: video. Already uploading and posting filtered runway moments from Spring 2014’s fashion week, his tone is cool, approachable, and “Like” worthy.

Emily Weiss

Emily is an actual photog, so its no surprise as to why she’s made the list. The (sometimes) model displays a lush version of NYFW that makes any viewer feel and WISH they were in the middle of the action. She’s light on #seflies, but HUGE on giving her audience model shots that could be in any high ranking fashion pub. And yes, that is Amy Sedaris.
Adam Selman

Adam’s name should sound familiar since he served as Rihanna’s official costume designer for the singer’s last two world tours. His pictures consist of everything an insider dreams of — fittings, his #Inspo, hot shots of his stylist boyfriend Mel Ottenberg, and of course, Princess RiRi herself. BONUS! This NYFW will be Adam’s debut of his first ever ready to wear line. The event will surely prove to be a hot bed of filtered action with Valencia-bathed pics of the Bajan Sensation. #FingeresCrossed
