The paint is barely dry. That “new app” smell still clings. But despite its infancy (a mere seven days), the new GayCities iPhone app has pushed passed its 1,000th check-in 100 cities world wide. We couldn’t be prouder parents.
We know who to thank–all of you. You’ve checked in from every corner of the world, from Sydney to Tokyo; Amsterdam to Paris. The cities with the most check-ins are (no surprise) San Francisco and New York.
You’ve shared on-the-scene tidbits from some of your best and, well, not so best experiences. From “80s night, heck yeah! Good crowd
” when GC member FlyerD checked in to Trigger Club in SF to nyugymboy broadcasting from Sydney’s Bondi Beach, “Very few gays. North Bondi is typically gay but not today. Weather is cloudy too.”
The sky’s the limit for this cool new toy to connect you to the very best of going out and exploring your world. So keep on checking in. 10,000 here we come!
If you haven’t come on board yet, check out the app and check-in to all sorts of new possibilities. You could even win a trip to West Hollywood on us.
