The charming city of Charlotte, North Carolina, will be abuzz with political types next week during the Democratic National Convention, but this past weekend the gays took the day at the 2012 Pride Charlotte celebration where Brandon Hilton, Erika Jayne, Justin Utley, Leslie Jordan and Drag Race stars Jiggly Caliente (above), Chad Michaels and DiDa Ritz were on hand to show the Queen City some love.
Highlights included the Pride festival Saturday and Sunday in Uptown, a Big Gay Trivia contest, a dunking booth with the Charlotte Royals Rugby team, a Campus Pride LGBT college fair, a performance of Abraham Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party and a family fun area sponsored by Monkey Joe’s.
