One of our deepest dreams is coming true, sort of: Heavenly creature Cheyenne Jackson—he of Xanadu, 30 Rock and Glee fame—is getting involved in the world of porn.

Sadly, he hasn’t lined up with Randy Blue or Michael Lucas: Playbill is reporting the blue-eyed charmer is taking a role in David West Read’s Broadway rom-com The Performers, which starts previews at the Longacre in October and officially opens on November 14.

According to its press release, Performers sees two men and the women in their lives reconnect at the Adult Film Awards in Las Vegas. “When the night takes an unexpected turn and relationships are threatened, Chuck Wood, the hardest-working man in the business, steps in to lend a hand.  Sex, love and Barry Manilow intersect in this comedy about the ups and downs and ins and outs of love.”

Joining Jackson are Tony nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange), actresses Ari Graynor and Jenni Barber, and Henry Winkler, who plays aging porn lothario Wood. (Sounds a little like Ron “the Hedgehog” Jeremy, no?)

We can’t tell if Jackson’s character is a porn actor, producer, or just a fan. But if he doesn’t wind up shirtless on stage the whole thing will be a travesty of the highest order.
