If you didn’t know, we’re heading into L.A. Pride weekend, and to celebrate the West Hollywood city council approved a plan to paint the crosswalk at San Vicente and Santa Monica boulevards all the colors of the gay rainbow. (They go back to drab yellow in July.)
It’s really great they’ve done this but if the council really wanted to make that crosswalk gay, they’d have replaced the walk sign with a “Sashay/Shantay” indicator.
