Fashion Forward: Venezuelan Designer Rafael Cennamo Kicks Caracas At Fashion Week

He’s already caught Beyoncé’s eye—has out designer Rafael Cennamo caught yours? After tonight, he might just become a household name in the fashion world.

Cennamo officially launched his label in 2006 but this season is his first time showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  (His spring 2012 collection, which will be unveiled at 7pm tonight, is rumored to bring black, white, and splashes of color to the runway.)  Cennamo designs with a classic eye, seeing fashion through his contemporary lens by integrating bold and vivacious colors and extraordinary fabrics to spruce up classic couture.

Originally from Venezuela, Cennamo studied at the Miami International University of Art & Design and currently works out of his downtown NYC office. In addition to Lady B, Toni Colette, Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Williams, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift have all taken to the red carpet in his glamorous designs.

Want to see his frocks up close? You might get the chance: Cennamo plans on opening boutiques in both New York and Miami.
