Porn Star Brent Corrigan Goes Mainstream (And Gets Award) at Philly’s QFest

With celebrities and reality “stars” dropping x-rated clips on the Web with surprising frequency, it’s easy to forget some adult-film actors are actually parlaying their blue-movie experience into mainstream roles. At QFest, Philadelphia’s just-wrapped LGBT film festival, delectable twink Brent Corrigan—star of such films as The Velvet Mafia, The Porne Identity and Getting Levi’s Johnson—received the Rising Star award for his growing body of non-porn films, including the new release Judas Kiss.

As Corrigan (real name: Sean Paul Lockhart) tells PhillyGayCalendar.com, the award fuels his desire for a major film career: “It spurs me into action…My background and all these things people told me would potentially hold  me back? That’s not such the case. You can do whatever you want out there—it’s how much heart [you put in], how bad you want it and what you’re willing to do to get it.”
