New Year’s Eve Dance Parties All over

New Year’s Eve on a Monday? 5-day weekend? That makes this a perfect weekend for partying all over. While there are parties in every city we cover, this year there are more than a few worth traveling for. Of note this year, after a few successful years of organizing New Year’s parties in LA, Brett Henrichsen’s Masterbeat tries to rule the world. They’ve organized two major parties in LA and Miami, and pulled together parties in 14 other cities for a unique event.

• Atlanta: Countdown 2008 – DJ Joe Gauthreaux brings in the New Year at Wet Bar, 9pm-3am
• Brazil: The Week Sao Paulo & Rio De Janiero – Brazil’s hottest gay clubs ring in the New Year. If you, like us, aren’t already there, you’ll just have to settle for the pictures. 11pm on.
• Chicago: New Year’s Eve at Hydrate – DJ Jeannette. (Don’t miss DJ Kimberly S on Sunday night) at Hydrate.
• Denver: Blackout at Tracks – with a $3000 cash drop? tell us how it turns out. Tracks, 9pm til close.
• Houston: Masterbeat 2008 Houston – DJ monty Q at Houston’s South Beach
• Las Vegas: New Year’s Eve at Piranha – Kristine W performs live. Piranha Nightclub, 8pm – dawn. don’t miss Tiffany on Saturday.
• Los Angeles: Masterbeat 2008 LA – Brett Henrichsen DJ’s his own party in LA. 9pm – 6am at The Mayan.
• Miami: h2o08 – Masterbeat’s other major event. DJ Abel spins, Jeanie Tracy in concert 10pm-10am at The Wynwood Convention Center.
• New Orleans: New Year’s Eve 2008 at OZ – DJ David Knapp, Oz on Bourbon Street
• New York City: After the Ball – The Saint at Large and Masterbeat team up for NYC’s big dance party. 12:30am-8am at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square
• Pensacola: New Year’s Eve at Emerald City – Top 10 hits of 2007 playing til midnight. 9pm-close.
• Phoenix: Masterbeat 2008 New Year’s Phoenix – DJ Joe King at Area Phoenix, 9pm-4am.
• Provincetown has dueling celebrations: Susan Morabito is at the Paramount at Crown & Anchor and the A-house ties one on with a champagne toast.
• San Diego: Club Montage has Bryan Pfeiffer DJing 10pm-4am
• San Francisco: Colossus DJ tony Moran and Jamie J Sanchez, with free breakfast. 9pm-9am, 525 Harrison
• Washington DC: Town Danceboutique will “turn back time” with 4 decades of music and videos. At Town Danceboutique DC, 9pm-5am.
