  1. My partner and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary in Hawaii. We are arriving in late October 09, anyone else going or been there to give us some tips and recommendations. Thanks guys.

  2. Congratulations on your anniversary, and what a great place to celebrate! I’ve been to The Big Island twice, and stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village both times. It’s a great property, with a Disney kind of a feel to it. I should do a review of it here. You guys should be aware that The Big Island has two distinct sides to it. One is the dry side (the Kona side), which is where most of the hotels are located. The other is the tropical side (the Hilo side), which is lush and beautiful and typical of Hawaii. When you land at the Kona airport and drive to your hotel, the landscape is volcanic, and has an asphalt look to it. Be prepared for the black lava everywhere. The Hilo side has the rain forests, the macadamia nut farms and Volcanoes National Park. It's a nice day trip over to the Hilo side. My partner and I enjoyed both of our visits, and hope you guys do too. Send a message if I can provide any more info... Pete

  3. Thanks for all your information. I can't wait to go. I think we are staying on the Kona side like you said where all the hotels are.
