Here are a few of the places I highly recommend:
Top 10 Stores in San Francisco
1. The Archive - Forget about the ill-fitting suit that you got at Banana Republic or J. Crew. It's about time for a much needed upgrade. Just make sure to bring your black AMEX on your first visit to this men's boutique that carries several cutting-edge non-mainstream designers from Japan and Europe. If you want to stand out in a crowd in a good way then I suggest that you visit this store. I love this store. Where else can you buy Attachment, Rick Owens, MA+, Robert Geller, Julius, Viridi-Ann, etc. But the best thing about this store is the service. It's not your typical pushy sales associates. The ambiance in this store is very relaxed and laid back which I personally love. Make sure to say hi to Arthur and David if you swing by their store.
2. Barneys - I am not a big fan of department stores like Bloomies or Macy's or the like. But of course Barneys is in a totally different league. I love this store. Well what's not to love about Barneys? Barneys has the BEST WINDOW DISPLAY ever! I can go on and on about this store. Certainly a must-see if ever you're here in the city.
3. Harput's Market - This dope store carries both menswear and womenswear from mainstream labels like Yohji Yamamoto and up and coming designers like Pleasure Principle and Stephen Schneider. Harput's also carries a wide selection of shoes and accessories from acclaimed Belgian designer Martin Mason Margiela. Also, they just recently launched their own line. You guessed it Harput's Market!
4. Yves Saint Laurel - If you have not gotten your 2.5 Jonny heels then make sure to swing by this exquisite store located in the trendy Maiden Lane area in downtown.
5. Gimme Shoes - If you have a shoe fetish that you need to satisfy then make sure to stop by this shoe heaven! This store carries several hard-to-find imported labels. So if you want to feel like Cinderalla without worrying about the midnight curse then this is the place that can make your fantasies come true.
6. Huf SF- If you want to channel the skater boy in you then make sure to get your dope kicks at this sneaker freaker store. They carry alot of limited edition and designer collaboration pieces. So don't be like the average joe. Wear your ostrich skin jack purcells.
7. Acrimony - Jenny is officially the sweetest and the prettiest shop owner in San Francisco. Her charm and wits would make a queen like you to switch to the other team! Her store offers alternative brands for people with the most discriminating taste!
8. American Apparel - Whenever I think of basics this store always comes into my mind! Go ahead and channel the inner hipster in you!
9. American Rag - Be it new or vintage I'm sure this store has something to offer to you.
10. Spectacles for Human - Definitely my favorite optical store in the city. Once you go in expect that you go out with empty pockets!
