I am trying to get some errors corrected in the KC section. I submit them, and nothing. I submit them again, and nothing. Are you guys just swamped with updates? Is there a faster way to get things moving? Or is there some policy or rules that I am bumping into?

A group of friends and I are wondering what to do for New Year's Eve while we're vacationing in Palm Springs. Dinners? Shows? Dancing? Any suggestions? We'll be there just after Christmas, so any other suggestions on what to do while we're in town would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Anyone else going to see the new Harvey Milk movie? In case you haven't seen the trailer, check out: http://www.movietrailerlive.com/c2/ct_000E_Milk

A part from Chip Arndt and Ellen, who would be other positive gay role models?

I find personally Rosie and Elton a little too abrasive?

Does anyone have any pointers for getting a taste of the gay life in London? I'm headed there on business and will have evenings free. I'm *not* looking for a hook-up, but I would like to get a taste of what gay life in London is like.

I visited London on business about 5 or 6 years ago, and was a little disappointed. The guidebooks pointed me to a gay area near the theater district, but it was small and seemed very crowded with just regular people. It didn't feel very gay at all. To top it off, I was looking into the window of one of the gay trinket shops, and a john came up and tried to offer me time with some female prostitutes! I wasn't sure what was more offensive -- that he couldn't recognize my gay fabulousness, or that he thought I needed to pay for sex.

Are there any bars or cafes which are fun and non-intimidating for a visitor like me?

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

With almost 5,000 miles of coastline, Brazil will leave its beach-loving tourists in a tropical quandary. The magnitude of Brazil’s geographic and cultural diversity is mind-boggling. With German-influenced architecture in Brazil’s southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul to the silky sand dunes and blue lagoons of the northeastern-most state of Rio Grande do Norte, vacation plans should be fraught with indecision. So why is it that our knowledge of the world’s fifth largest country seems limited to the Amazon, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo...

Chicks... Help us... My friend (actually friend, not ex, not current, just the mate) are coming to Hawaii, San Francisco, LA, and Las Vegas in Dec/Jan. I have been to America before (but was slightly 'under-the-thumb' so wasn't allowed out), and now i'm bringing a mate back to find out what i missed out on the first time... If anyone can help us out with some open-minded lesbian bars in any of these areas.. we would really appreciate it (and naturally, would have to catch up for beverages while we're there...)

My partner and I live in California and recently after 15 years together we got married.

We've been planning for a long time to start a family and we want our child(ren) to have all the benefits and protections that marriage brings. I want my child to know that their parents aren't "illegal" and aren't any less "real" than other families.

On November 4th, Proposition 8 can take away the right I already have. The right to marry. I'm shocked that you can change the constitution to take a right away from a person. It's unfair and wrong.

So for myself, my partner, and my family I'm doing everything I can to get the word out: Vote No on 8. (and yes, I'm voting no on 8 on election day too).

Both apartments are located very close to public transportation.

For pictures go to : http://homearoundtheworld.com/viewListingPhotos.php?liid=1206

You currently have a global calendar for big gay events. I would love to see an event calendar for each Gaycity, where smaller scale local events could be added and listed. If you are in town for the weekend, you could see what was happening, be it a meeting of the local leather club, or an international disco festival.

Hi all- I am looking to move to San Diego, I'm driving down for a visit in a couple months but I haven't lived there since I was practically in diapers and need some tips.
I really want to live in a gay friendly area (or multi culturally friendly as my son is multi-ethnic) or at least right by one and I know San Diego is huge so I wanted to know where people have had the most luck.
Also any tips on spots to visit for my upcoming drive would be great too!
Thanks bunches!

We just came back from Costa Rica and stayed at Abercam La Fortuna hotel. A great new hotel near the Arenal volcano. We didn´t know what to expect, but were happily surprised! We both work stressful jobs and needed a fun and relaxing getaway. They have a clothing optional pool that is kept comfortably warm and the cocktails were included in the rate and kept flowing all day long. The volcano erupted several times during the day which we could see from the pool and our rooms. We were able to see a little lava at night due to the rain 80( but we all had a good time. Anytime we needed anything the owners always helped us and were both very friendly. The only downside is that we only had 3 days there and can´t wait to go back. The rooms were clean and nicley done. I would highly reccommend this hotel. Their website is abercamlafortuna.com

Welcome to Buenos Aires! In this city you will find a mix between the elegance of the Europe capitals and the spirit of South America . The city was founded by immigrants that came mostly in the XIX century from Italy, Spain, France, Germany, UK, etc. Visiting Buenos Aires, you will experience a sort of "deja vù" of Europe while you explore the grand boulevards, expansive parks, magnificent architecture, and ever-changing fashion of Argentina's beautiful capital.

We encourage you to take a walk through neighborhoods like Recoleta, Palermo (Soho, Hollywood, Las Cañitas), and you'll be persuaded that you're in the Paris 16th District. Porteños, -as Buenos Aires citizens are called-, feel with a sort of pride being the most European of South American.

Do not get confused by the architecture of the city, you are still in South America. It may appear in some areas to be a civilized city with an European scent, but you will soon notice porteño`s evident behavior. Specially in issues like the traffic (they drive like hell, I think that was inherited from Italians / Spaniards), the warm way they live their relationships with family and friends (Porteños boys give a kiss to greet other males -even straight guys-), the passionate way they speak using their hands to talk, the importance they gave to family and friends, and principally the social and political structure of this beautiful city.

[NOTE FROM MODERATOR) Removed web links from post.

Live! Feel! and Enjoy Buenos Aires City!!!

April 1st-5th
August 19-23
October 21st-25th

Each retreat will begin at approximately 5 pm on Wednesday and end at 3 pm on Sunday.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION:

We have a commitment to inclusion in the FC program (and all resources in society), regardless of financial means. At the same time, we desire support and ease of support in offering this program, and a sense of shared partnership, contribution, and community. If you’d like to support yourself or others in joining the program at a contribution below the sliding scale requested, we ask you to consider joining our fundraising team. We would also welcome your contributing support in other ways; please contact us for details! In our desire to create a world of interdependence and mutual support, we ask you to consider inviting friends, family, faith and community organizations and/or your employer to financially support you in participating in the Facilitating Change program. We would also welcome your support in letting others know about the FC program.

Sliding Scale
The amount we request for taking part in the Facilitating Change Program is on a sliding scale of $4,500 -7,500 for the year, plus room and board, with a median of $6,000. Room and board will be approximately $70 per day, on site; camping or bedrolling may also be available at $40 per day.

Group participation
We have found that two or more people learning NVC together deepens the impact and integration of NVC in an organization; wanting to support this kind of learning, we encourage two or more people from an organization to register for the program together. To support several registering from one organization, we invite each person in the ‘group” to deduct $500 per person from the sliding scale.
