I think I find myself in the category of 100% gay and 0% straight, but there are a lot of people who I believe are multi-sexual. If most guys profiles were resumes then they would remain unemployed for a very long time. There is no excuse for shitty pics - excellent quality pics can be made with almost any digital camera - go buy one - its worth it for the sex you will get. Then use a program to reduce the file size (but keep the pics fairly large) so they can be sent from the sites where you have your profile. Big files will be rejected. 12-40 kb should be your target.
