Hello All,
An unexpected situation has occurred in my life, and I am reaching out to all of you for help. I was recently let go from my job of Director of Athletic Events at Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN), and am now in the process of searching for a new position.
I would like to enlist your help in my job search and would ask you to keep an eye out for opportunities in the following areas:
For-profit: Corporate Social Responsibility, Diversity & Inclusion, Community Affairs/Engagement, Project Management, and Training.
Non-profit: Executive Director positions ($5M or smaller), Director/Associate Director level positions in Development (HIV or other causes), or Consulting projects in the areas of Fundraising/Capacity building.
This list encompasses just a few of my interests, but I am open to exploring all options. If you come across something that you think would be a good fit for me, please send it my way!
My break with TPAN came as a surprise, given the fact that under my direction, the Ride for AIDS Chicago has become the Midwest's largest charity AIDS ride, and one of the largest in the world. When I took the helm, the ride was seven years old and stagnant in fundraising and growth. In my four years as the Director, I was able to triple the number of participants and dollars generated. The ride currently raises nearly $1million dollars each year, which is nearly a third of TPAN's annual income. I have a proven track record of building, growing, and enhancing the overall sustainability of development and fundraising projects.
For additional information on my work history/skill set, please visit my LinkedIn page. If we have worked together in some capacity (volunteer or otherwise) and you would be willing to write a recommendation for me that would be great too! LinkedIn: http://linkd.in/richardrcordova
In addition to my track record, my skills and values include:
SKILLS: Goal-driven, Proven Leader, Team player, Flexible, Effective Communicator, Organized.
VALUES: Integrity, Dedicated, Dependable, Loyal, Confident, Self-motivated, Enthusiastic.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. If you feel comfortable doing so please share this event on your own page in case someone in your network knows of something that might be a good fit.
