The No Pants Subway Ride is an annual global event started by Improv Everywhere in New York in 2002. Visit http://www.improveverywhere.com Invite your friends. Please join the Group No Pants Subway Ride: Chicago Edition to be included in all future communication and to see photos after the event. The premise is simple, as is the execution.
January 12th is a Sunday. Yes, of course, it's a little cold but the actual time anyone is actually outside isn't much. Unless you're a glutton for punishment, you're really not spending more than 25 minutes out in the elements on purpose.
There's also much to be said about what else you have on that could make a difference.
1. Hat - Make sure they cover all of the head and ears. A scarf is okay too.
2. Coat - As long as you can manage. If you have a rain coat that's warm, it counts, to give you an idea (but where's the fun in that?).
3. Undies - Granny panties, boxer briefs, boxers, boy cut, you're getting a good idea of what you could wear that's tasteful and covers more. One thing we're not encouraging is wearing "less" in this area. Think about it, tasteful/funny underoos are pretty cool, awesome, and funny! Scandalous... not so much. Not that some wouldn't mind, but this isn't a chance to show of what exactly you got(for that join the naked bike ride in the summer like I am). Just having fun and messing with people.
4. Socks - As high as you can manage. Bonus if they are individualistic.
5. Shoes - sensible and comfy. Boots count. Keep in mind, it might be muddy out so you don't want to get it ruined.
Hope it helps. Questions? Just ask!
