Avalanche - Ontario Gay Ski Weekend

Bringing PRIDE to Winter in Ontario. Avalanche Events, in partnership with Blue Mountain Resort, is proud to present Ontario’s only Gay Ski Weekend. For the first time, there is a local and affordable mid-winter “Pride” style festival. No need to take vacation days, or hop on a plane. A fun filled social weekend, Avalanche offers opportunities to go skiing/snowboarding including guided ski groups by skill level with group leaders from the Toronto Gay Ski and Snowboarding Club, lesson packages for those who want to try it out, skill enhancement clinics for more experienced riders, and fun on slope social activities. With a host of other activities including ridge-runner mountain coaster, spa days, Plunge! Aquatics centre, and of course shopping, there is plenty to do for those non-skiers as well. Organized lunches, afternoon après events, a dine-out tour, and a party both Friday and Saturday nights provide group settings to encourage more fun and social interaction. Meet new friends from all over Ontario, be free to be yourself in a safe welcoming environment, have fun, get away from or avoid going into the city, enjoy what winter has to offer, help celebrate and build our community.
