Stockholm Bear Weekend 2013

The annual bear weekend in Stockholm will take place between May 17th until May 19th 2013. ************************* FRIDAY MAY 17th , 2013 >Viking Bears and their guests join the “17de maj”- parade! The 17th of May is the Norwegian national holiday and insiders will know that this parade – even though in Sweden - is possibly the nicest of them all. Many Swedes join as well! We meet at the statue of Karl XII, near Kungsträdgården on Friday May 17th, at 11:30 a.m. The parade leaves from Kungsträdgården at noon and is expected to arrive at Skansen 13:15 (1:15 p.m.). Entrance fee is 40 kronor per person. Welcome to these historical baths, that even contributed to Stockholm’s gay history!! From 19:00 to 22:00 (7 to 10 p.m.), www.slmstockholm.se is exclusively open for Viking Bears and our guests. After that we can expect SLM’s regular members, if they dare to meet some bears. Guaranteed: no women! We serve som snacks in the bar. Entrance fee: 50 kronor for members, 150 for guests, but that includes membership 13 months ahead! (Those arriving after 22:00/10 p.m. have to comply with SLM’s regular membership rules, e.g. a month’s membership for 150 kronor). **************************** SATURDAY MAY 18th, 2013 >Picnic and bear walk We meet as usual Saturday the 18th of May at the usual bear walk time, nowaways noon (12:00), at Ryssgården (just outside T-station Slussen, Södermalmstorg exit). This time we ask bear walkers to bring their own lunch and drinks; our bear walk general brings us to a place suitable for a picnic. The bar opens at 19:00 (7 p.m.). As you may know, the Eurovision finals are that evening, at 21.00 / 9 p.m., and we will ensure that you can watch them in the best possible environment, and with the best possible company. The party continues until 03:00 a.m. Entrance fee: 80 kr for members, 130 kr for guests. ************************* SUNDAY MAY 19th, 2013 >Goodbye brunch at Restaurant Kvarnen at noon/12:00. (space allowing, you may want to book a table if you want to be certain). Tjärhovsgatan 4 is situated close to Medborgarplatsen, near Björns Trädgårdsgränd. Cost: 210 kr p/p.
