Before Krave, this was the place everyone complained was trying to be too upscale, "exclusive", etc. To be fair, Gipsy has anchored what became the "Fruit Loop" for decades, before Freezone or Piranha appeared. And when the dance music is just right, it can still provide a night of excitement for tourists and locals alike, though usually not until after midnight. Events are plentiful, so check ahead if you don't want to stumble on a theme night (or just cross the street to Freezone or Buffalo if you do).
