First discovered this bar in the early 90's and was a great cuise bar then. Returned not long ago when I was in Dallas. Got inside to a packed crowded bar. Great music and hot men. Mixed age group that night. I was making my way to the back bar when some guy grabbed my head and pushed his mouth to mine. Took me by surprise at first, needless to say, but, melted when he pulled away to look into my eyes. Too hot was this man, too hot was the moment, and a great way to welcome this traveller to Dallas. I'll be back........

When I first discovered TMC, it was by accident - but I was hooked! This was back in Dec of 2003. It was a Sunday night (the night they play music from the 70's and 80' s) and the place was just magical. Being in my early 40's, the place was a throwback to when I first started to go to gay bars in the 80's, not to drink, not to pick-up guys, but to D-A-N-C-E!
TMC was full of guys (on both floors) from their 20's to 50' s. There were boxes (removed after someone fell off) on the dance floor that the guys would dance on . . . just downright fun. I enjoyed it so much!
I went constantly until I moved to Kansas City in March of 2005. I missed the fun I had at TMC. I finally got a chance to get back to Dallas on Jan 21, 2007. Made a big point to go to TMC and boy was I ever disappointed! The place was a ghost of it former self. The second floor was chained off. The crowd was mostly 40' s and 50' s - no big problem, but the music just sucked! I don't know what happened? It was no longer the fun danceable retro hits, but all these crap songs instead!
I guess one problem is Station 4 (S4). It had opened during that time I was away and drew away the younger crowd from TMC. And the second problem was either they got a new DJ or the DJ really changed the music he used to play.

TMC is crowded, extremely dark, and very loud to the point of being deafening. Turn down the music, add some lights and you'll have a much better atmosphere. No cover charge is a great feature and the crowd is actually getting cuter over the last year (28-50). Music is some times hit and miss - not as good as Crews Inn music, but the sound is much better than the overrated S4 down the street.
