Colourful monthly fix for dancing youth
Late-night monthly party on three floors, attracting a mix of Saturday clubbers including young Turks, the cheesily glamorous and cross-dressers, who get in for free. Electro and pop rule the two dance floors. Built in 1905/6 as the Neues Schauspielhaus, this art nouveau palace spent decades as a theatre, concert hall and, from 1911, a cinema, sadly forfeiting its interior during the Second World War. It's impossible to revisit the exact spot where Dietrich performed, but the facade remains and 21st-century renovations have transformed the venue, with chandeliers and a change of name to Goya, having been the Metropol since 1951. Propaganda started at Goya in 2007. U-Bahn: Nollendorfplatz, then cross the street to one of Schöneberg's more recognisable landmarks. Propaganda moved to the Imperial Club in Admiralspalast in 2014.
