Great place near Church and Market Sts. Good people, honest drinks and pool players. I like the Sunday afternoon softball crowd. And there is usually a BQ or just a buffet. Nice folks

Nice place after 5

This was a great find on a recent visit. Church and Market area of San Francisco. 2 terrific pool tables and easy access by public transportation It's also walking distance to the Castro and surrounded by some wonderful resteraunts: Home, Chow, and Crepe Vine beware of the daytime/early evening crowd, though. They can be very stern and bitter--and 'dicey' at best. Go later in the evening when this crowd has staggered home.

Great Remake of an Old Neighborhood Bar

....and getting better, Yes it's been there for AGES as the "Expansion" but Mario & David are working very hard to update (but not lose) an old Upper Market delight! 2 brand new pool tables are giving the Pilsner (across the St,) a rub for serious players, and Woody the Bartender pours whatteva you 'lil heart desires. Great at all times, esp. 5-7P since it's ON TOP of the Church/Market Metro (all 5 lines pass thru/near here). Personal rating: 85%
