HYATT_Concierge answered "Hi!! I am Daniel from Colombia. I'm planning to visit Minneapolis around October and I need som..."Minneapolis is so much more the center of diversity and culture than its sweeping prairies, wetlands and strong Scandinavian roots may lead even the average North American to think. Although it does not boast the conventional gay "hood" that other cities might lay claim to, the scene is fairly centralized and some say the envy of the likes of that that fair maiden on the western edge of the country. Beyond that, the arts and theatrical worlds converge in splendor as well, with such highlights as @Walker Art Center to dazzle even the savviest critic. Food wise, the rib-sticking fare that has made this region famous, but you may want to pack something with an elastic waistband as that, the twin cities have attracted and kept the cuisines of many far and wide as evidenced by such delicious destinations like the @International Marketplace!

HYATT_Concierge answered "I don't know anything about San Gennaro Festival. Where should I go? What should I expect? Wh..."San Gennaro, like so many neighbourhood festivals, has a come a long way since its early years in the 1920's. No where else is this probably more evident in it's food, which while still true to its Italian-American roots, is also a reflection of the neighbourhood's ever-changing demographics. From Chinese to pork sliders to the Neapolitan classics, the only thing you may want to pack in advance is an Alka-Seltzer!

HYATT_Concierge answered "I have an out of town guest coming that wants to go to the Tenement Museum but I don't know the..."The Tenement Museum is a fantastic experience in city history! For an equally historic follow up that will undoubtedly charm out-of-towners, you could always face the crowds @Katz's Delicatessen or if you want to go another route on the working man's inspired luncheon give @The Clerkenwell a try for hearty fare of the toad-in-the-hole variety...albeit at slightly higher than pub prices.

When it comes to salmon and its numerous varieties, you can hardly beat Seattle's thousands of options. If you are @Pike Place Public Market, television host Andrew Zimmern reccomends a trying the salmon collar soup @Oriental Market Cafe for a different and sumptuous twist on a regional specialty!

Why just have the mountains if you can have the beach as well! It's well known that most of L.A. has served as the backdrop of many a film since Hollywood's early days. HYATT_Concierge answered "I'm headed to Silverlake, does anything exciting happen in that part of LA in the summer?"Ask and you shall receive! As a matter of fact, if there is anyplace that is going to be an epicenter of excitement this time of year it will be Silverlake and neighbouring Echo Park! Since 1980, the neighbourhood comes alive during the annual Sunset Junction Street Fair which brings together one of the city's most dynamic neighbourhoods. The fair offers up some of the best of the neighbourhood's rich Latino, queer and bohemian past and present when Sunset Boulevard becomes a massive carnival with local bars, restaurants and galleries opening their doors to join the fun. Every year an impressive line-up of live acts is also featured. Among this year's diverse mix of headliners are Bobby Womack, Ozomatli, The Melvins, and Peaches to name only a few!

HYATT_Concierge answered "I'm headed to LA, and want to do as the locals do. What's a great night out that's off the beat..."For Angelinos, sometimes the simplest pleasures are the best and the heart of the city is a good place to start your exploration. Just as the city seems to overwhelming, take a late afternoon drive into Elysian Park for a phenomenal view and in time to catch the sunset over the Chavez Ravine as lights begin to flicker on for a home game at the Dodger Stadium. As twilight descends, drive back out onto to North Broadway into Chinatown for a taste of one of the city's tastiest claims to fame- the original french dip- @Philippe's French Dip just across the street from Union Station. Down @Pershing Square they'll be showing some free movies right about then. so why not take the sandwiches to go and take in the evening's latest cult classic being shown on the square under the stars. To cap off the evening, take a little stroll over around Broadway, to one of the city's many film noir era cocktail lounges. @Bar 107 is always a good bet for fortified libations enjoyed in the company of the local enclave of art and fashion students. Let the night slip away under heady discussions of form over function
